The Mentoring Program Hosted it’s First Teen Tea Party

The Mentoring Program hosted its first Teen Tea party.  Sense mother nature refused to cooperate, the garden tea party was recreated indoors.  The students created a beautiful walkway with the flowers attached to a make-shift fence.  All participants dressed in full tea party attire with sun dresses and hats to match. The students also made tea bag butter cookies and chicken sandwiches.  The young ladies enjoyed the vanilla tea and treats while learning the history of tea parties and proper etiquette during a tea party.

Some activities included The Word Association Game, The Purse Game, and The building of a Balloon Tower to teach the importance of having a strong foundation.  The team with the tallest free standing tower won. Congrats to Hannah and Sue Ellen for their very tall free-standing Balloon tower.  Mentors also enjoyed a game of I LOVE BINGO while soft music played in the background!  Compliments to Laura Warren for the beautiful hand-made floral arrangements — It was a classic affair that we will never forget.
